Windmills of the Gods - Review

I happened to read this novel last week end and here is my review of it:

This story revolves around Mary Ashley, wife of Dr.Edward Ashley, an American professor in the Kansas University, who is chosen as the US Ambassador to Romania, one of the Iron curtain countries. She is forced to take up the position after the planned brutal murder of her husband and is challenged to adapt herself rapidly from the safety of a small town called Junction City in Kansas to the challenges of Romania, the culture shock, threats to her life and the social rules that an Ambassador has to adhere to.

On the other hand, the narration of the character of a top professional assassin who operates his killings, without any flaw has been dealt with in a very thrilling and shocking touch. The suspense of who the assassin is has been sustained till the end. Finally the assassin gets a contract to kill the Ambassador in a spectacular fashion on a spectacular night.

The scene, setting and revealing of whom the assassin is and the ones behind the plan are unexpected and thrilling. Another typical Sheldon novel. :)

Overall: Thriller/Action
